HARVEY FIELD At the foothills of the
Cascade Mountains. Topographical and climatically conditions lend themselves to
create some of the most interesting and challenging situations to experience
the thrill of silent flight. Mondays Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 8 by pre
scheduling and weekends by special arrangement
Join us for a glider ride or lesson
program through to your glider pilot's license. Currently we sport a flight
line of one gliders and two tow planes with FAA certified commercial pilots and
flight instructors, giving you the best the Northwest has to offer.

Lessons
To
qualify as a sailplane pilot, previous flight experience is not necessary. To
meet the requirements for a private glider license, you must be at least 16
years of age, and have logged 7 hours of solo in gliders, including 20 solo
glider flights, and pass a written and flight exam given by the FAA. Minimum
age to solo is 14, and a medical certificate is not required
A
Private Pilot, in order to obtain a private glider rating, needs 10 solo glider
flights, an instructor recommendation flight, and an oral and flight test by an
FAA Examiner.
